Specialty: Multiscale Modeling in Magnetic Systems, Magnetic and Electronic Properties of Bimetallic Clusters, Nano-wires and Nano-tubes…
Graduate in Physics at Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo (1991), he received his Doctor’s degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2000).He is currently working as an Associate Professor at Physics Institute at this same University.
Dr.Mejía does research in Condensed Matter. His research lines include the study of materials through a computational approach, using a variety of methods and techniques to investigate the key properties of different types of materials and to simulate physical processes related to nanotechnology.
Currently, his specific interest is the study of magnetic, electrical and structural properties of nano-structures by using methods such as first-principles calculus (DFT), Monte Carlo Simulation and Molecular Dynamics.
