Specialty: Organic Electronics applied to photovoltaic solar energy and light-emitting diodes.
Chemist with specialization in Industrial Chemistry (2008) at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Master of Science (2011) and Doctor of Philosophy (2015) in Chemistry at University of Rochester, under the supervision of Dr. Ching W. Tang, creator of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and considered the father of Electronics Organic.
Subsequently, he worked as Associate Postdoctoral Researcher in Chemical Engineering Department of the same University. Currently, he works as Assistant Professor in the Inorganic Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Chemistry at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
His research work is focused on Organic Electronics, an area within Materials Science which studies both chemical synthesis and manufacture and characterization of optoelectronic devices. It mainly studies organic semiconductor materials and hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites for application in organic photovoltaic (PVO), photovoltaic perovskite (PPVs) and organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) devices.
