Specialty:Thermo-mechanical and microstructural simulation and experimental analysis of smelting and forming processes.
Civil Engineer graduate from Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina (1989). Such degree has been validated as equivalent to the one received in Spain (Royal act: 86/1987) and the one received in Chile (Resolution No. 69/1999).
He received his PhD from School of Civi Engineering of Universidad Técnica de Cataluña, Barcelona, Spain (1994) .
He currently works as a Professor at School of Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he also leads a variety of research projects related to his professional experience.
Interest Areas
- Experimental characterization and numerical modelling of materials mechanical behaviour.
- Experimental and themomechanical-metallurgical analysis of multiscale modelling of industrial processes such as: forming, smelting, among others.
- Numerical simulation oriented toward the improvement of design processes.
